Total training hours are 1,200, comprising 800 hours of classroom sessions, 200 hours of unsupervised self-structured study, and 200 hours of self-study. Delivery & Learning Approach
Training is delivered through trainer-led, face-to-face classroom sessions at the Parramatta campus, combined with in-class experiential activities, unsupervised self-structured study, and independent self-study. The weekly study model is 20 hours spread over 2.5 to 4 days, with students committing to an additional 5 hours of self-study per week. Assessment methods include knowledge questions, simulations, case studies, role-play exercises, presentations, report writing, template creation, and analysis tasks.
Entry Requirements
There are no formal entry requirements in the Training Package; however, students are expected to have relevant work experience or an educational background. College-level entry requirements are:
- Minimum age of 18 years at time of application
- English Requirement: IELTS band score of 5.5 or equivalent, OR successful completion of a qualification delivered in English (minimum 12 months), OR completion of an approved English Language course
- Academic Requirement: Completion of studies equivalent to Australian Year 12, OR successful completion of a qualification delivered in English (minimum 12 months)
- All students must undertake an LLN (Language, Literacy and Numeracy) test to determine if additional learning support is required
Structured Work Placement
This qualification does not include a mandatory structured work placement component. All training and assessment is delivered in a classroom-based environment at the College campus, supplemented by self-structured study and self-paced learning activities.
